Everest, we were so close to you,

From the lesson I know that the Everest is the highest peak of the world with the elevation of 8848 meters. Its name has the original meaning, the words “zhumu” means goddess, and “lanma ”means “the third”, because there are four mountain peaks around, Everest is the third one. Everest is the honor of our Chinese people, and it is also always the goal for athletes and the mountain climbing fancier for years, every climber is proud of climbing up to the top of Everest. When we were still in Lhasa, auntie Yang made a phone excitedly to tell her friends that she would go to Everest. She was proud that we couldn’t describe with words.
