A Bright Pearl of the Silk Road --------part one

After my train entered Shanxi province,I got down from my up-sleeper. It was sunshine and blink outside the window. From then on, I could hardly find green views along the road of Shanxi—GansuXinjiang.
Unknown grey grass scattered on the broad and bald Loess Plateau. The ravines washed out by flood looked like a sword lacerated the chest of mountains, astonishing and amazing! The goats scattering on the hillside grazed the scanty grass. This scenery made me think how the dry area kept the moisture.
Was this the Loess Plateau which was mentioned in the songs? Yes, it did is! Now, I understand the reason that songs of Xingtianyou were always deplorable. When I was in the primary school, the bleakness impression of northwest poem was deep in my heart. If I would not visit here, I, who lived in the south washy city, could hardly imagine how hard the people here live in a water-scarce condition.
